[Glitch?] Some Phantoms do not load/are 100% invisible for an infinite time.

It's as if their character model fails to load, and all I see is their name and health bar, they are 100% invisible, and never appear, yet they still function as an actual player. NPC Summons seem to be unaffected.

Not sure if it's just me, the game, or my connection to blame.

I get summoned to help someone kill a boss, or i help kill an invader, and occasionally there will be a invisible phantom or invisible host, and they never reappear. it's kinda like the hidden body spell, except they're all the way invisible and it never expires.

This happens with random people for me, there was 1 time i myself, as a phantom, was invisible and did not appear, though that event ended in a game crash.

I can still lock onto them without any problems, so I think it's more of a glitch than someone hacking to stay invisible, like I said, it happens at random.

Is there any possible reason this is happening? Is it just me, my internet, or is it the game itself?

DS3 is installed on my external drive, which was previously corrupted, which is now fixed, and only recently started happening. I have a high end gaming rig with top dollar processors and a high end GPU.

My internet is not exactly good by any means, as i have high latency, and sometimes i can not be summoned due to timeouts.

I validated my game files and found no errors. I validate the game every month or so since i play it a lot.

if it's a hacker, there's a lot of hackers at this very moment. I've seen at least 10-20 phantoms in the past hour that were completely invisible.

That is a connection issue. If you are the host, send home the invisible phantom and try to summon again.
When you are an invader, you can bc out.

It happens very rarely in my game. When it happened to you so many times, I think your connection is very bad.

Its a known bug. I think the majority believe it to be related to lag or connection in general. To my knowledge there is no way to fix that bug.

In this situation it's me being summoned by another host in this case, I've completed the game and haven't gone to NG+, and i'm helping people beat bosses, farming up covenant items and souls.

so it seems to be my internet doing this.

Well then at least i now know my situation is known and is most likely my internet being trash.
