Lapps, gundyr's, and black iron.

Didn't know you meant that. Black Iron and Lapps are the best for weight and poise.

OH, the dragon slayer armor is pretty poise heavy (but not as much as the exile set)

Someone correct me if wrong, but isn't poise bugged/near useless in DS3?
I feel like it's relevant to your armour choice.

Grab an Ultra Greatsword, Greatsword, Halberd, Greataxe, or Great Hammer.
Then stack some poise.
You can literally poise through attacks by attacking.
Especially with weapons like the FUGS and Ledo's GreatHammer. Which has higher poise values than others in it's class.

No.
