Greatswords, straight swords, mace and some other weapons would be a good start point.
Even if you used pontiff knight curved sword, scimitar, gotthards and murky hand scythe (some of the best PvP weapons) you won't win if you don't know how to PvP. Gotta learn how to pressure, avoid being parried/backstabbed and the like as well.
Go to Pontiff's (the area after you fight Pontiff Sulyvahn) and either place a red sign if you want to join, or summon the red signs if you want to host.
Though keep in mind the max number of summons if Aldrich is dead is 1, or two with dried finger active.
If you want to host a fightclub then keep Aldrich alive, use a dried finger and summon up to five red phantoms.
No password. You'll want to either be at soul level 60 with +6 weapons, or at about soul level 120 to 130 with +10 weapons.
Otherwise it'd be hard to host a fight club.
For me, I do a Glass Cannon setup on a Quality Build (all my stats are either 40 or 50 except luck), no armor except a thrall hood and master's attire, heavy weapons such as a ultra great sword or a great hammer, and 1 spell of each of Pyromancy, Sorcery and Miracles.
My PVP setup is more of a Variety Pack Setup, using variable types of weapons, and spells.
It would be best to use a setup you're most comfortable with, and chances are, it may be a good setup for PVP.
That'd work fine then for either hosting or joining a fight club.
How dare thee make me correct thy self.
Not sure honestly since I haven't even finished my SL 351 build yet.
