You're more likely being matched with bad players if perseverance makes you win.
How to counter passive players: Just roll catch them
I'm matched with so many passive players that fighting a aggressive player playing passive for 2 seconds doesn't change the roll catch game.
I guess you don't understand how being passive works. You can't rollcatch a player who doesn't roll. Reactive + Passive is something you can't do anything about.
In arena, the match just ends with a draw because they're too passive.
In invasions, after 5 minutes of running after them, I get sick of it and black crystal out. If the player doesn't want to fight, I guess there's no point trying to force him.
And passive+reactive players are just boring. When I see a passive player, I become passive as well, and nothing happens. I always hope that they realize that what they are doing is useless, especially against me, but no. They remain passive and nothing happens. This is a game, you should play it!
