Has the tree-jump been fixed?

Hello.
Probably every veteran player of the DS3 knows that right after the first boss, if you go to the Firelink Shrine, and use the stairs to the right, after entring the Shrine, you will eventually reach a small tower with metal bars. (Opened later with a key). And to the left from the tower there is a tree, from which you could jump on the roof to pick up a number of objects.

My question is whether it's been fixed, because I tried like 15 minutes in a row, and could not reach that roof.

BONUS QUESTION: Also, if I am already writing it, I have a question, how to reach the back of the fossilized dragon in the beggining of the Lothric castle area? Becuase I can see that some player has left a message there, meaning he was there. But I keep sliding from the dragons tail, and neither dashes, not jumps help me to get up there.

nope. You go up the tail.

You can still do the jump.

To get to the top of the dragon sprint up the tail and jump aiming forward/right direction, it's not easy jump so it might take some time to nail down.

It seems I still get to familiarize myself with the controller. I mean, since I got it in september I try to play with it various games, but I still feel so much comfortable even thinking about the keyboard.

I mean, what can I say, if I still keep confusing the controlls. And its especially hard in games, in which I already played a lot with keyboard (i.e. HITMAN).
