Unforuntely, Dark Souls III port to PC still has the prompt commands from console. After character creation, it'll be a good idea to go into the options and change the default controls to suit your needs. For example, "X" on controller would be "R" on keyboard for me, so whenever I would need to press X in a menu, I'll press R.
I just played around a bit with the controls in the tutorial area and remember all my controls. Ofcourse, in some menus, you cna use your mouse to select an option instead of pressing a key. Dark Souls III is completely playable with keyboard, it's a matter of learning the controls to memory and the mechanics of the game.
tl;dr: Change your controls in options to how you would like once in game. Remember them.
