Are boss soul weapons worth more than the souls themselves?

Guides keep saying to NEVER sell your boss souls, but if I'm not going to use 99% of these boss weapons why I should I hang onto them? Is it worth more souls to just sell the soul, or to transpose it and then sell the weapon?

If you don't want the weapon, you can sure.

Though you could always try to trade it for something you do want with other players. Some people want that stuff.

But generally speaking, do you get more souls from simply using the soul on yourself, or by turning it into a weapon then selling it to the handmaiden? Probably just using the soul right?

I think the soul itself gives you more souls than selling the weapon to the maiden. I don't understand that recommendation by gudes either. Most of the weapons you can make boss souls into are worthless to me.

Because all weapons are personal preference, and guides should encourage you to try weapons. Maybe you find the best weapon for you there.

What I did on my first run: I got all possible weapons, so I can try them all out. Exception is the bonetail stuff... I refuse to farm. But on every other character I knew what weapons I wanted to use, so I sold the boss souls for faster SL100-120.

In the end the amount of souls you get is just so small you generally want the weapons more, but if you don't want them at all, just use the item.
