How do I fix CPU usage?
so I recently got a new GPU and the game looks wonderful and it stutters a Lot Less! However the game still stutteres. and I believe I've found the reason why.

the game is super cpu heavy and I think the game is actually running out of memory. is there a setting I can legally change to allocate more memory to the game itself to prevent this stutteirng?

Go to task manager. Details. Find darksouls3 and set priority to high

thanks but unfortunatly its still stuttering and nearly crashed. I've never hat this problem untile recently and I have to conclude its the optimization of the game that is at fault. my hardware is up to date and in working order.

I'll avoid getting salty and just say I hope from fixes this eventually before it becomes completely un playable

Try setting it to windowed.

Its very unlikely that the game is running out of memory. I think what you probably mean is the game needs more work to be done by your CPU than your CPU can provide. So it stutters wating for the CPU to catch up. This is fairly common if you have an old CPU.

its an i7 4770 3.4GHz
Haswell 22m Technology

I don't think its the issue. not to mention I've never had this problem when I first started playing the game

Well Dark Souls 3 is a 64 bit app. It can access all the memory in your PC. How much memory do you have. The minimm requirements are 4GB . If you have at least that much I doubt its a problem. Dark Souls 3 itself takes up about 2 GB of memory when its running.
