with PS4 controller camera moves everytime I move controller
Hi guys, trying to play this game with a ps4 controller but everytime I move my controller the camera/mouse moves along with it. I think this has something to do with the motion tracker in the controller but I'm not sure how to disable it so I can play this game. Can anyone help me with this?

I'm having the same issue and I'm not sure what to do either. It started when I began using the built in PS4 controller support in Big Picture Mode.

Disable Steam controller support and use DS4Windows.

When I had a similar issue it was because the trackpad on the PS4 controller was set to control the mouse. Whenever I slightly brushed the trackpad it would move my cursor and therefore move the camera. Once I figured out what the problem was I just disabled the trackpad in the controls.

Open Dark Souls, Go to controller settings and look at the bottom of the controller picture. That is the gyro. Click that and set it to do nothing. Also just like Turran said make the trackpad more useful. Changed mine to be 4 buttons:)

Where are the controller settings located? I can only find key bindings and it's not listed in there.

Go to Steam's big picture mode and edit the controls in there.

This is actually kind of terrible since instead of fixing the issue, it made an entirely different one.
Now i cant even USE the controller in the game. Nothing responds.:steamfacepalm:

OK SO IN BIG PICTURE, you have to go nto controller settings, go to dark souls, then apply a gamepad button layout that disables the gyro

Hey, its really simple. Open Big Picture mode on steam with your PS4 controller plugged in.
As long as your PS4 controller support is enabled (It is on default), you can select Dark Souls 3 from your library, and below PLAY-icon theres (MANAGE GAME) with a cog icon.
Click that, and from there you can click on [Controller Configuration], and it will show you your controller. At the bottom you can click [Browse Configs], and on the left theres [Community], which opens up community uploaded configurations [LIKE PS4] is the best one.
After you click on it, you can apply as a default for yourself.
