Input Mapper / DS4 not working for PS4 Controller

I originally downloaded DS4 and turned the hide thing on and it worked fine. I left the game, unplugged my controller and closed DS4. Later I plugged in my controller, opened DS4 and launched Dark souls, all of sudden it didnt work. So I uninstalled DS4, installed it again, and it worked. Repeated the leaving game process and tried playing again and it didn't work, again.
Completely doesn't recognize my controller. I got input mapper and that doesnt recognize my controller either. The only thing that happens with my controller when I plug it in is that it will glow orange for a second then fade away.
This is very frustrating and I don't know what to do, can anyone help me please?

Im using a standard Dual Shock PS4 Controller, and a USB plug in.

** It stopped working period. I reinstalled DS4 and it didn't work thats when I installed Input Mapper.

You don't need to use InputMapper or any other program. Steam now has native PS4 controller support. You need to go into big picture mode on steam to configure it. Try using that over any of the other programs.

In addition, use the bluetooth "search" mode or whatever it's called to try to connect your controller. Hold down the Share button and the PS button until the controller starts to blink. Then plug it in.

Try going into the Device Manager, disabling the SCP device in the System Device section, and then re-enabling it. I have to do that occasionally.

It's not working. I enabled it (in big picture) but it isn't even detecting my controller, did I happen to break my controller?

No, if you flip it to the back there is a little pinhole next to a screw. I hear you can reset it that way if something goes wrong.

I've tried that about 5 times but all it does is glow orange then fade away.

Did you resync it after? Aka, have the bluetooth device be forgotten on the pc and rediscover it.

My computer doesn't support Bluetooth, my only option is to use USB. Is there still away to "forget" the device?

If you have vjoy installed, uninstall it. Then play via big picture.

I dont have Vjoy, DS4, or InputMapper installed anymore.
