Dark Souls III cheating offline.
Let's say I want to make a new character to use offline only, and use stuff like cheat engine with that character only. Will that get me in any trouble, or am I safe regardless of what cheats I use?

You will get banned once you go online unless you managed to keep your save clean somehow.

Even if I go online with another character? If so, I'll still be okay, if I delete that safe file where I used cheats on, right?
Energy 🌇 3. okt. 2017 kl. 6:24
yes you need to delete the safe file before you play online

You've got too little to assume that's the reason.
Some people do like to mess with the injector to see what they can do.
He's offline and not hurting anyone this way, it's fine.
It is however suspicious that they don't own the game though...

You don't even own the game and you're asking about cheating on it?

Go away.

That's fine for me. But I could basically copy that safe file, put it somewhere else, and whenever I feel like going back to it, I just go offline and put it back. Cool.
Thanks.

Just remember to go offline if you put that file back.

Vinyl... no... ;-;

Dr.7roll - Considering you haven't played the game yet... or any Souls game for more than 3 hours (on PC at least) you should definitely not be thinking of cheating. Play the game properly, because through cheating you're entirely spoiling the entire focus of Souls games.

EDIT :: Mkay you have it on PS4, but nonetheless... cheating is cheating, especially when it's for the purpose of making a particular character with an unfair advantage.

Man, that profile picture is really popular but every time I see it Solaire has a different colour/shade or background colour...

I have played ds3 and bloodborne on ps4. Completed both games a few times, there's just some things I'd want to try to do on ds3 with cheat engine
dumbasscat 3. okt. 2017 kl. 6:39
I also own ds2 but i havent played that one much

Hm. If there's no deterring you...

Any permanent modifications you make to a character (while offline), such as altering stats, adding souls directly to the soul counter, giving yourself unobtainable items etc. will flag you as having cheated when you go online.

Thus you can't go online at all with an edited character.

Temporary modifications that reset when you exit the game (and re-open) it, such as directly changing weapon attack rating, using scripts such as infinite health, giving yourself obtainable items etc. - these will not flag you if you go online (so long as you've closed and re-opened the game).

If you're flagged for cheating when you go online, you'll have to delete your entire save folder (in AppData) and re-accept the EULA.

I don't want to cheat simply to just make my character OP and beat the game ez pz, like I said, there are other things I'd want to try, that can't be done without cheating. Also, it's offline so it's not like I will, or intend to, get unfair adventage over other players
