Hardest Thing You've Ever Done in a Soulsborne Game
Title says it all. What's the toughest obstacle you've overcome? I'll share mine. For a long time, it was killing Fume Knight on my first playthrough of Dark Souls 2. Took 50-60 tries. The main issue was that my build relied on a greatshield and had low ADP. Not ideal against Raime.

But that all changed once I did my soul level 1 run of DS3. There were plenty of challenges in the main game: Pontiff took a few hours, Aldrich was incredibly annoying, and the Dragonslayer Armor put up way more of a fight than I expected. Then came Sister Friede. My god. It took 3 days and what must have been hundreds of attempts. Most frustrating was the fact that I got Blackflame Friede down to 1 hit from death before losing on the 2nd day. Didn't help that I had managed to screw myself out of the Dragonslayer Axe, so I was stuck using the Millwood Axe. Incredibly hard fight. Nothing else in that run even came close -- Gael, the Demon Prince, and Midir were cakewalks compared to her.

Currently I'm wrapping up a SL1 playthrough of DS1. It's been pretty easy so far with pyromancy, with O&S predictably being the biggest obstacle. I shudder to think about what SL1 Manus will be like, though. All I have left are him, Kalameet, Nito, and Gwyn.

Was there a lot of parrying involved?

Ludwig the Accursed is easily the hardest non challenge run and non chalice dungeon bosses in the whole soulsborne universe. You can even add some ludicrous challenge by trying to keep the undead corpse that talks to you in the beginning cutscene alive.
quit
The Hardest thing might be when I decide for fork out the money to buy a PS3 just so I can play Bloodborne. They're still ca. £100 in CEX which is rather steep for one or two games. Trashy consoles also won't appreciate the magnificence of a 3440x1440 monitor. Oh wait, nor does DS3.

At some point I was going to take on the Illusory rings challenge in DS2 but I'd have to go through NG building a hexer, grab the Old Iron Crown and every other item which might be of use, grind way too many levels and then cheese as much as possible through NG+, skipping everything which isn't essential. I never got around to it.

You found Ludwig harder than Laurence? I've platinumed the game, done all sorts of silly challenge runs, and Laurence can still wreck my $hit any day of the week.

BL4 in BB.
DS titles went okay on SL1, but BB gave me a really hard time
I have killed parry king with 99% parry ratio ONCE.

I managed to save the corpse guy once. It was completely by chance, and I doubt it'll happen again. The aoes and ranged attacks make it almost impossible to do consistantly.

Did you do the Chalice Dungeons on BL4 as well? Because I distinctly remember watching Lobosjr fight the depth 5 Pthumerian Descendent for like 6 hours straight. And that's not even mentioning the headless Bloodletting Beast or Loran Darkbeast . . .

The Dancer, and the Pontiff.* If I had successfully beaten either, NK, and SOB would also be on the list, in fact, they would top the list (Although, not necessarily in that order.) It's no accident that all of these come from DS3. In fact, I think that (specifically) these ridiculously overtuned bosses are emblematic of fundamental (and, unfortunately, I would also argue, fatal) flaws in the games' design.

*I gave up and summoned Gotthard, so, technically speaking, I still haven't beaten the Pontiff.

Really? All the bosses you listed are defeated by studying their movesets and dodging at the appropriate times. Especially NK and the Dancer. It's just a matter of mastering the game's basic mechanics and applying them to difficult situations. Pontiff can even be parried, providing another method to beat him also based on timing. I'd recommend slowing down for a few fights and studying the tells and timings of each boss.

Or was there some other design flaw you were referring to? And which boss is SOB?

And there goes Manus at SL1! It only took about 2 hours. Far easier than I expected. He's much more vulnerable to pyromancy than Kalameet, and has fewer one-shots, surprisingly. Now I just have to mop up Nito and Gwyn and the run is over.

DS 1 : host gravelorded ng+7 games on sl 22.
DS 2 : no death run. ( took me to start 16 chars or so.)
DS 3: survive the moderator Laptop on the forum without to get a ban.
Black Gulch in Dark Souls 2, holy ♥♥♥♥ this area nearly took up 1/4 of my overall game time

Was it the poison statues? Or the hand monsters? Or the 1.2 million npc invaders?

I finished the SL1 run for Dark Souls 1. It was much easier than DS3. It all came down to pyromancy: great combustion is disgustingly powerful with Gwyndolin's crown and the Bellowing Dragoncrest Ring. If I had gone a step further and added the RTSR and Power Within, it would have been unstoppable. But I didn't want to take that kind of risk.
