and what is the best way to deal with the poison ?
This place reminds me of the dreadful Blighttown only worse, and I don't find a way to avoid getting poisoned.

Poison isn't that bad. Just heal up when you need it.

use the weaponart of a dagger to move quickly through the slow swamp areas

just get poisoned and dont worry about it there is a blessed sheld in undead setlement have that on your back or in your offhand for some regen slow's down the poison

I remember in DS1 there was some kind of moss.

i think there is some in the actual swamp, near the second flame if i remember..

but you can buy them after giving the ashes from the cathedral to the bint in the shrine

As soon as you leave farron keep, stick to the left wall and curve around. There will be a ragged mask which reduces poison build up in the swamp
