Macbook Pro (i7, 16GB ram, 750m) performance issues...

on windows 8 (bootcamp) . Any way to make it run better?

And yeah, yeah, I know..it's a pretty old laptop and macbook at that, so, please, no sarcastic comments.

My friend is trying to run DS3 on his laptop and fps is pretty low. What's worse, he sometimes gets "Frame rate unsuitable for online play" error.

Atm he is playing at 1280x720p, all low settings , He gets ~30 fps (tutorial location, so I assume it will get worse) but with some serious drops.
Has anyone here played DS3 on the same or similar config? Any tips other than reducing resolution to 1024? ;)

play 720p windowed thats the only way you will get it running a little better.

It's just that I read somewhere on this forum that someone claimed to have played the game on the similar laptop and he had better fps.

I mean there are better deals with better hardware. I guess the only benefit is final cut pro. Most people buying Mac is for the brand, not the hardware tho

Probably part of it, but you get a nice looking well connected (at least inside their apple stuff) laptop of good quality.

Starting area has bad frame rate. It gets better in most areas of the game. Source: myself, since the game sometimes boots me offline when I'm in firelink shrine.

If you have good internet connection download geforce now for mac. It is in free beta now and it lets you play games in ultra 60fps on macbooks, because it streams game from nvidia servers. I can highly recommend it. My macbook pro 13 2017 didnt get even hot when i played ds3 with geforce now on it.
