Summon sign does not show (embered)

Yes, i know I need to be embered to summon players or NPCs, but I am embered but dont see any sign anywhere around... and btw I checked in a walkthrough that there should be one

1.you cant see summon signs written with a white soapstone when the area boss is already dead, same goes for npc signs.

2.some npc signs appear only when doing specific questlines or need something to be triggered to appear. For example the swordmaster is only summonable for vordt if you killed him near firelink shrine.

3.You can only summon players that are close to your Soul level and upgrade level unless you use the password feature to summon them.

4.You obviously need to be playing in online mode

5. you need to be embered

Boss (Dragonslayer Armor) is still alive
It´s a NPC I wanted to summon, but I watched a walkthrough since that area is kinda full of ambushes and the guy didn´t mention any requirements for that sign to show up.
NPCs can be summoned in offline mode too, right? Anyways I was playing online.
And yes, I was embered

yes for npc you can be offline too. But you said you didnt saw signs in general. So most of my points were for summoning in general.

Which npc doesnt show eygon or sirris?

Don´t remember his name. But just for a very short time there were 2 summon sign for players but since they were clearly not leaving them for me I didnt summon anybody... Than after about 30 seconds both vanished again

Try using the dried finger, that helps sometimes. Alternatively, you can ask on the forum for help, in which you can set a password, improving chances of connecting.

normally players that play together do so with a password. Since you saw them means they werent using it. So it could be they dont know about the password feature or they are helping out random ppl so you could have summoned them.

since you refered to the npc summon as a male i guess you mean eygon the guy with the big round shield and hammer. You need to excaust all dialog with him were you first meet him and also excaust all dialog he has when you meet him in firelink shrine to make him summonable for dragonslayer. So make sure he isnt in firelink and where you first meet him. Also it is possible that you cant summon him when you bought dark miracle off irina (not sure about that though)

make a screen of you being unembered and seeing a white summon sign.....

Put your own sign down and cancel it to ensure one isn't down. Make sure you didn't leave a password on. Those 2 are easy to forget about
