Spam equipping/unequipping Ring of Favor - What's the benefit?

Hey everyone,

At around 4:35 of the following video the guy invading spams equipping and unequipping the Ring of Favor. Why is he doing that? I know if you do the same with the Sun Princess Ring you heal faster. Is there some benefit to doing so with the Ring of Favor? My first thought is that it would show the host where he is. Is that correct? I'd enjoy being able to do that more easily but it doesn't seem to be that as he successfully sneaks up on the host pretty effortlessly.

If you spam equip/unequip either lloyd's rings it makes a cool whooshing sound that you can annoy people with

i beleive a good counter to that is putting full armor of thorns and kicking or punching the guy doing that, not because of the stamina loss but because of the damage you will deal
