Not Dark Souls 3. I need some advice in Bloodborne, but PS4 doesn't have a community like this sooo...

Currently playing through Bloodborne for the first time and I'm completely stuck on Laurence, The First Vicar. I know it sounds weird but all the other bosses in the DLC were easy, or I made significant progress everytime I went into the fight: Ludwig took me about 7 to 13 tries, Living Failures took me about 8, Lady Maria of the Astral Clocktower took me only 4, and Orphan of Kos took me about 10.

Laurence is just ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ kicking my ass and I have no idea how to follow what the wiki is telling me to do. I keep trying to stay behind Laurence and just chip damage, but he is always facing me for some reason. I just get stuck in the combos and get destroyed in the AoE fire slams. I haven't even gotten past his first phase yet (since I was researching him I know about his ovesets and phases).

Does an relatively high amount of insight increase the strength of bosses? I know it makes normal enemies stronger when at certain numbers (mine is at 33 at the moment).

Anyone got any ideas/tips/tricks?

Strength with a little bit of boost in Skill. I have 30 Vitality, 30 Endurance, 33 Strength, 26 Skill, 11 Bloodtinge, and 15 Arcane. I use a fully upgraded Beast Cutter and the Kirkhammer, but I rarely use the Kirkhammer.

Hei SleepinGriffin. This may seem a lame advice, but you do seem a little under-leveld. I`d try to get to 50 strenght and boost Vitality as close to 50 as you can. Run some chalices or something. Several of the bosses in Bloodborne are great, but they have obscene amount of healthpoints. So you have to match them there.

Laurence really is a difficult fight. I spent a few nights on him myself. Put on the charred set, and stagger, riposte, stagger riposte. Take your time, and you`ll get through!

The beast cutter will be helpful in keeping your distance in the second phase but Trond is spot on with levelling up a bit more.

Insight mkaes no difference in bosses, I had strenght build with the whirligig saw and the heavys attacks towards his limbs staggered him enough to get a follow up hit. Once he loses his legs is pretty easy.
