How good is the Darkdrift?
For my new Dex play through I now have Yuria here and since the Darkdrift has a 28 Dex requirement I think it will do well with DEX, it has a D in Dex scaling but would infusing it to sharp get it to an A scaling?
I already bought what I wanted from Yuria (untrue rings) and don't want the Usurpation of Fire ending so I have no problem with killing Yuria.
Also just tell me in general how good the Darkdrift is. I don't have enough stats for it yet though, need 4 more Dex levels, (Yes, I invested a lot of levels into dex).
I don't see people use it in PvP or PvE that often so I don't think it really is that good, but I am just asking.

Darkdrift is uninfusable and unbuffable. It's... Well, it's not terrible, but there's much better katanas

It's not great, honestly. The range is shorter than most other katanas, and the only upsides are its visuals and the shield pierce WA (if you use it sparingly). You also can't infuse it with anything to my knowledge. The damage isn't awful, but I'd recommend just using the Washing Pole instead.

Oh, is it good for an early game Dex build?

How good is it for an early game Dex build, I am at road of sacrafices. Or should I stick to the twinblades and the Uchigatana?

It's an invisible blade that hits for invisible damage.

I'd say stick with what you've got. You can try the Darkdrift and see how you like it, but chances are, Twinblades and the Uchi will put out better numbers overall while offering more utility and variety.
Uchi and twinblades are gonna serve you WAY better

Pales in comparison to the DS2 variant.

A better katana can be earned earlier (Uchigatana). Oh! You don't have to kill anyone important (Yuria) to get it to boot!

Later on, if you're thinking on sticking with a DEX-katana build, consider the Black Blade or Frayed Blade if you're fine with killing Midir. However, if stamina is a huge concern, I guess Darkdrift can be a decent choice, as it consumes the least amount per swing in the katana class.

For a quality build it's decent.

Would it be good with a leo ring build? It has the shield splitter and running r1s

I mean it's going to be okay but the wa is just bad. Wdr1 are good but it's just outclassed by almost every other katana.

The das2 version isn't that good either.
