Yeah, and the +3 ring isn't even that much better than the regular ring. The regular version increases max health by 7%. The +3 version increases max hp by a whopping 10%... And by the time you reach NG+2 that 3% makes no difference due to the enemies damage increase.

DLC offers +3 rings which are also pretty nice but there are no smithing ways to upgrade the rings unfortuantley unless you're going for the life ring which is different
