Ashes of Ariandel DLC and Titanite Scale Question
Hiya all,

I got past Farron Keep and am currently at the first Catacombs Bonfire. Along the way I saw Gael in the Cathedral, and dismissed him at the time since I was thinking I was a wee bit underlevelled and inexperienced. Currently SL46, am contemplating heading back there to do the DLC... that said I feel I should at least be fighting the next boss first. Good plan or is the Ashes DLC fairly doable?

Also, I was wondering about Titanite Scales.... I have used 3 to upgrade my Farron Greatsword to +2. I was wondering how early you could get a +5 Boss Weapon in NG.

Ashes of Ariandel is doable at low SLs because everything has low resistances. SL50ish is fine. I'd recommend clearing out the Catacombs and Demon Ruins however, as there's some great loot (primarily Undead Bone Shards) there.

+5 is only possible by reaching late-game.

Most of the area is doable at a low level, but the final boss is reccomended for a higher level and upgrade (18,000 HP).

If Corvian Knights have low resistances, then everything in the game must have low resistances to you.

I would personally reccomend just running through most of everything.

There's a lot of upgrade materials in AoA including 2 titanite slabs. One of them you can get right away. The other after a certain boss.
