EDIT: Its abyss long sword
https://youtu.be/zQTFblgp-UM like that
You can also buff it with things like resin.
p.s. but yeah, maybe if you plan to buff it then you should probably make it raw. just, test it.
because it just goes through physical armor (dmg gets reduced x1)
fire, lightning, dark etc. weapons will go through 2 defense types (dmg gets reduced x2)
when you want elemental extra dmg go for weapons buffs (magic weapon, fire weapon etc. or resins)
haven´t played in a while but there is the one greatsword (i think drakesomethingsomething) which has physical, magic and lightningdmg which means the dmg goes through 3 !!! defences stats from your enemy
i still know that i tested it myself (don´t remember my stats)
raw claymore +9 vs the drake....sword +9
even with some magic and faith (magic and lightningdmg scaling) it dealt about 100 dmg less to the hollows around firelink
keep in mind that the AR is displayed against an enemy with 0 defenses and will never display the true dmg output which will be diffrent from enemy to enemy
he said he will use this dagger for backstabs and ripostes (crits), so unless he's gonna buff a raw dagger, with his stats fire or deep is better.
