Great soul dreg damage
I'm working on a build and was hoping some people could help me run some tests. I need to know which build does more damage with Great soul dregs.

Int 60 with a maxed Court Sorcerer's staff

or

Int 45 fth 33 with a maxed izalith staff

I'd do it my self but i've just recently moved to a new rig and we all know ds3 doesn't have a cloud save option :T

copy your save file from old computer to new one

failing that, back up your save file, respec, upgrade weapon, do testing
restore backup, repeat

if you have both staves max already just do infinite respec glitch

45/45 with Izalith staff. Not sure how much better or worse the murky longstaff would be, just look at the spell buff.

Ive moved my saves from 3 different computers since launch, as long as your useing the same steam profile the game doesnt care.

Just start a new game to establish a save folder. Then load your old save into it.
At 40 INT with Murky Staff (Without FTH) It did about 550-650, and around 700 buffed.

well at int 60 faith 18 the court sorcerers staff out paces the murky staff. I made a build of sl 100 and I'm trying to see what the damage would be for a 45 / 33 buid.

a 45 / 45 build would obviously do more dark damage however that would be at a higher soul level than the intended build.

I don't know how much it scales with FTH just because it is dark magic. But the base INT scaling is enough to be super viable. I am currently using 50 INT / 20 DEX for a MLGS Builds with two baiting spells. I ditched the Great Soul Dreg due to the amount of FP it costs, because 14 ATT is not enough for that spell. And while great in PvP, the two slots are used for better ones that suit my melee playtsyle. I have read that the difference is around 50 damage less with no FTH. But i can't confirm that since i have never tried it.

What about 30/30 for SL100? Only sacrifice maybe like 50 damage tops for investing into more stats, like vigour and endurance, the former being more important.

About tests: you can use infinite respecs glitch. Still working.

When it comes to dark spells: try 40INT/40FTH (more or less) with Izalith staff, or 60INT with Murky(!) staff.
