if you have both staves max already just do infinite respec glitch
Just start a new game to establish a save folder. Then load your old save into it.
a 45 / 45 build would obviously do more dark damage however that would be at a higher soul level than the intended build.
I don't know how much it scales with FTH just because it is dark magic. But the base INT scaling is enough to be super viable. I am currently using 50 INT / 20 DEX for a MLGS Builds with two baiting spells. I ditched the Great Soul Dreg due to the amount of FP it costs, because 14 ATT is not enough for that spell. And while great in PvP, the two slots are used for better ones that suit my melee playtsyle. I have read that the difference is around 50 damage less with no FTH. But i can't confirm that since i have never tried it.

When it comes to dark spells: try 40INT/40FTH (more or less) with Izalith staff, or 60INT with Murky(!) staff.
