what do you think are the best souls transpositions?

Vordts great hammer is an okay weapon certainly better than the ring.
Gundyr's halaberd is overall an amazing weapon (WA Sucks against people that know how to parry though), and you have to trade prisoner's chain for it.
Last would probably be either Yhorm's Great Machete or Hollowslayer Yhorms has great damage, but hollowslayer is a monster in pve and has strong r1 side roll catches in pvp.

+ Crystal sage's rapier if you're into grinding souls/drops #Increases %drop

Vordt's great hammer is just overall a great weapon that can 2 k.o at around sl 30~40 in pvp with it's incredibly high frost damage. Hit once -->stun --> 2nd hit --> stun , hp 30%~, frostbite kicks in and they're either dead or hurting bad.

The hollowslayer's nothing special as far as Greatswords go but it DOES have a unique moveset to it. Outside of PvE it doesn't have a damage bonus and doesn't have any special effects other than hollow effectiveness. But if you like it and, well GIT GUD like rlly GUDDD just like any other weapon you won't have anything to lose by keeping it around.

Champions halberd (?) Has a 2 part charging skill ( Running poke / stop / horizontal swing infront ) The skill is pretty fast and the 2nd part can whack roll spammers into a 2hit combo if you're so inclined.

Btw none of these can go past + 5 with forges.

Except Astor's Spear. But for that boss that's the only weapon, so you aren't losing anything by taking it.

Surprised no one mentioned profaned greatsword, that thing is a beast.
Edit: Also, for Astors Spear you're losing Hollowslayer GS, like many already said Hollowslayer is great and not just in pve, its pretty damn good in pvp with how fast hyperarmor kicks in. And the damage is in line with other greatswords.

PFGS is one of the most broken weapons in the game. Midir is resistant to fire, and I was still doing ~1000 damage every R2.
