Profaned vs Wolf Knight's Great Sword for PvE?

I'm so torn, both of these weapons seem pretty fun but I would like to know what you think is best for a knight/strength build strictly for PvE using these weapons?!

Are UGS even good in PvE? Or should I just stick with my +7 Dark Sword and Black Knight Shield

im a new player also but i went through the game 2 times allmost (on sec character im lv 75 at archives) and 120 on first done everything. i noticed that at my first run i couldnt use great swords at all..died all the time, but after more hours of game play now i play astora GS on sec and i do alot better- its about manage stamina and hit 100% all the time. and pacience. i recomand to stick with your dark sword first play through- take it to + 10 . Its best sword for new player because noobish spam of normal attack will slash your way through the game a lot easier. After u kill all and start to look back at what u miss , then upgrade a GS (Profane, astora and black knight (easies to handle) and start practice with it, cause if u start now it will be a lot harder and frustrating.Thats just my own exp. So they are both good for PvE? I really like the GS and UGS look and fee

I get badly pumped by anything knight like with a long reach, and my the Pus of Man enemies....

You can swap them around. Also you can have up to 3 weapons/shields in each hand.
