Darkmoon Blade should be magic damage, not Dark.

but if darkmoon blade does magic why is it called DARKmoon blade. should'nt it also do dark damage too? and i guess darkblade is just straight darkdamage, right?

Darkmoon blade is magic damage with 90% spellbuff to damage. Dark blade is dark damage with I think 80% spellbuff to damage. Both are miracles.

The darkmoon were the guys in dks1 that protected the light in anor londo, so no, they wouldn't be dark. If you did a certain thing in anor londo in dks1, the area would turn dark, and then you'd be invaded nonstop by darkmoon players.

The dark is from Dark Sun Gwyndolin, whom the darkmoon covenant members are disciples of. Gwyndolin would be holy aligned if anything. The whole covenant is dedicated to fighting evil.

Would you read some of the other posts? dark sun gwyndolin, the guy who got angry if you made the light in anor londo disappear during dks1, who would try and remove you for bringing about the dark moon, because he's the dark sun, dark as in darkness v light, not dark as in the humanity in humans. The damage type, dark, is a trait only capable of humans, because their very soul is made of the dark, the abyss, and the gods fear that dark, so they would never weild dark themselves, and gwyndolin is a god.

so the bottom line is, is that darkmoon blade is not dark damage but magic damage and darkblade is dark damage and they are infact different, right?

Exactly, very different, in fact they're as different as light and dark in our world, because they literally represent those exact things in the dks universe (albeit not 100%)

It's pretty ironic that darkmoon blade is also a miracle.
