BE AWARE OF INVISIBLE PLAYERS IN DARK SOULS 3

THIS IS A GIANT THING WE MUST KNOW -

Either this is a glitch or some bug error or mod - this must be noticed.

As we all know , from time to time, that we all had our fair share of invasions, friendly jolly cooperation, things of which we must not dare speak (fight clubs / gentlemen clubs), and rage inducing moments that we just ended up breaking our controllers - BUT one thing that we must notice in the dark souls community and that is having players cheating. -

There's only 2 ring items in the game (obscurity ring and carthus milkring) that prevents a player from seeing another player from a distance.

There is also 2 items that uses camouflage (white branch and the camouflage spell) --

KNOWING THIS! - we can troll each other by using these

SO basically if this were to happen - 2 things - you either have to let your self get killed or try your luck and kill the other player.

Congratulations, you found either a cheater or someone needs to upgrade from Fischer Price internet. Also, watch out for Mound Makers invading boss fights, because that's a thing now too.

There's no point to PVP in DS games. There's no sponsored contests, no tournaments. Nothing. It's why people hack and cheat. If it was a game that was recognized more in the public eye, surely the anti-cheat would be much better than what it is.

It's not a cheat. I as doing a playthrough of DS3 with a friend and he appeared in my world invisible multiple times.

I don't have enough fingers to count all the glitches in this game.

ok so i'm having this ridiculous inisible player issue, i've just done my first 20 hours on this game and im about to kill the last soul of cinder Lothric, Younger Prince.

Every player I summon for an assist is invisible, unless i get invaded then there invisible est 9 out of 10 times.

So I've been querying this issue with one of the folks I work with who also play's and sadly he suggest's the reason for the issue is still generally unknown.

SOOOOoooo my query basically is this

Is it a cheat, or a player using a mod which causes them to be invisible as a side effect ?

or is it possibly that I need to login to my router and change the NAT from restricted to OPEN ?

any ideas at all would be great

it must be a cheat or a mod or some internet issue - regardless im glad someone payed attention to this issue and im sorry for not actually knowing the answer to this issue

but i hope someone knows what it is and expose the details, so we can at least enjoy the last days of playing this wonderful game if this game continues to strive with a nice community to back it up

Most of the time it's due to connection issues, it's rarely someone turning invisible just to fight you normally afterward.

ah ok thank's for that maybe I'll need to just change the NAT settings on my router, i've seen it affect some games in the past

on the +side, since i stepped into the DLC content today everyone I have summoned thus far in the ringed city is visible

Not always though. There is one particular player my friends and I have encountered in Anor Londo who is always invisible, no matter who is the host and no matter when we encounter him. What's more, he never fights like a normal person, he always tries to sneak up behind people and back stab them. Basically you have to spam the lock on key to get a lock and chase him when he runs.
