2. the game at its core wants you to read item descriptions. no need to tab out.
The ring is really not that great unless you use a weapon that has VERY high attack speed.
Unfortunately you can't utilise the effects well because of... how the game works in general basically.
Also its hightly reccomended to read the description of every single item you come across via inventory.
All bosses' souls have a hint that "you can consume it or use to create something else..."
If you want a ring that you can idle in when not fifghting to get free regen to cap get sun princess ring later and the ancient dragon greatshield.
That ring is not a big deal, it gives a tiny sliver of hp back from attacks.
Like I said, the game definitely doesn't hold hands. It might just not be for you, and that's fine. Keep playing with it if you want and see if you like it, but don't blame the game for being different to your tastes.
The effect itself is pretty weak unless you simply don't have a better option.
Healing 30hp when you have 600 is good (5% heal)
Healing 30hp when you have 1200 is... not.
OMG FISHIES!!
as do we, you saltlord
This is how the game has always been, its not horrid game design, its your horribly linear mindset that caused you to not read the item description.
you complain that you don't want to google everything, well, you dont. You payed for this game, you paid to install the items and the descriptions...
I would strongly advise you read them next time.
