Should I consume Wolnir's soul?
I just killed Wolnir and I'm thinking about if I should eat the soul or get any of the items from it, I'm farming souls right now to upgrade my Farron Greatsword and it would be quite a lot of souls to get, so I wanted to ask if I miss anything essential by consuming it?

I'm interested in the answer as well. I have kept all (I think) boss souls I have earned thinking I needed to do that. Are they of no other value, should I just cash them in?

Some of them are really useful, like the one from the Abyss Watchers if you're running a STR/DEX build but Wolnir's items are both based on faith, which I haven't skilled anything into since the start.

How do you "use" one.

You mean to turn it into weapons? You'll have to defeat the curse rotten greatwood in the undead settlement and get the transposing kiln for doing so. Then you give it to the little man sittinf on the second throne from the left in firelink shrine and he'll give you the option to turn them into boss items.

Better to trade in the soul for items than just consuming it imo. You can always farm souls. You can't get the items again unless you do another cycle in ng+

Hm true, I still haven'd decided, I'll probably just do nothing with it for now and just leave it in my inventory

1. go to any wiki
2. look up the soul you consider popping
3. look what weapons you could get by trading the soul
4. decide if you want to own this weapon (+this step might include looking at the upgrade and
infusion stats and a moveset showcase of the weapon)
5. ???
6. profit

Yeah I looked what items I could get by the little guy without legs on the throne (whatever he's called again) and the sword art looked interesting but I've never skilled faith so I'd need to spend about 50000 souls to even use it so I wasn't sure if it was worth it

The moveset is not that good for str/dex, and the weapon art animation is too slow imo. But if you like to collect things for you NG+ like I do, feel free to transpose it. Because you can always re-spec later.

- if you have the feeling: i WANT that (this feeling might resolve by doing the +steps from step
4.) then go get it
- if you have the feeling: this COULD be interesting and/or i want to try it out and/or i dont have
the stats for it then make a new char specifically build for this weaopon, dark souls games are
known for their great replay value, because its fun trying to get thourgh the game with different
gear and playstyles

I think I'll just keep the soul in my inventory for now and just go farm at the dilapitaded bridge if I need souls, maybe I want it later and will have big remorse for consuming it so I'll just leave it for now.

Its one of the best PVP pyromancies in the game

Yeah it's hard to decide if I should eat it, get the sword, or the pyromancy, but I think I'll just leave it for now and save it for later purposes.
