Is the cemetery of ash Multiplayer blocked?
While inside of it and inside of Gundyr's bossfight area I can't place down messages or my summon sign.

You were never able to place signs in boss areas anyway.

Yes the whole area + Firelink are off limits for coop and invasions. You can still see messages and a players ghost but that's about it. You won't be able to coop or invade until you arrive at High Wall of Lothric.
