You sound like you have eye problems then. Really should see an Optometrist.

The game really does look poor, I just checked other forum threads that talk about the awful aa this game uses, it's really weird that a 2016 release wouldnt have a proper anti aliasing. Everything looks jagged even with it on, I'm playing at 1080 p with high/max settings. Scholar of the first sin's aa is like 10 times better.

I'm pretty sure there's something badly wrong with your eyesight. DS3 is absolutely beautiful, and you're saying DS2, which looked like utter garbage, is better?

Troll post. Probably lying just to start an argument.
I would hate to be a person that has this much of a problem just because the graphics are not good enough for them.
Viper Jan 22, 2017 @ 10:08am
It does not look poor. And no SOTFS does not look better. Do you see a lot of complaints about the graphics on this forum. No you don't. Because it Dark Souls not Eye Candy 101. The game was developed to run on Consoles. NOt made for PCs. WHo the heck cares if its not the best looking game ever made. If you don't like Dark Souls don't play it. It looks great to me. I have zero problem with how it looks.

this isn't a troll post at all, my first reaction was that the graphics looked really bad - grey, washed color palette and REALLY awful aa that makes barely any difference. Turns out I'm not the only one being disappointed with the graphics - http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=661033947 Just installed the preset and it makes such a great difference, couldnt recommend it more.

To be completely honest, even those who don't care for DS3 still admit the graphics are amazing. The Souls fans that have a problem with DS3's mechanics, story, world design, etc. still say that DS3 has the best graphics by far. The biggest reason I keep playing this game is because of how stunningly beautiful the game looks. If you really think it's that bad, I think your PC is having some major graphics problems.

Then you are wrong.

You "don't like" the graphics.

There is nothing wrong with the graphics themselves.

You really thought that DS2 with its disgustingly bland lack of detail, imagination, and variety, choppiness, blockiness, and awkwardness was better? Just because it had "better color?" That's actually hilarious. :P

Its Dark Souls..You know..DARK. You ever played Bloodborne. The entire palette is shades of grey. Its not supposed to be bright and colorful. Your really talking to an entire forum that does not agree.

Gotta concur here. I've seen many, many posts saying how good the game looks, but this is the first one I've ever seen that says they're bad.
Actually while SOTFS was pretty beautiful in it's own way. (Loved the lighting)
Ds3 by far has FAR better graphics. Better AO, Better AA, Not sure if it has AF, Better Textures.
I, Including the vast majority of this community disagrees with you.

disgustingly bland lack of detail, imagination and variety? those are meaningless statements that dont actually represent anything other than " i didnt like it". Also the world design is not what graphics means. Whether you mind or not, you cant argue that the games anti aliasing is objectively horrific.

it doesnt have good aa at all, and in my opinion the lighting looks just bad compared to most games nowadays which is why i was so disappointed. I liked sotfs lightning way more.
