Where to go?

So im playing the Ashes of Ariandel DLC, and I just beat the Gravetender boss battle, where do I go from here? Both paths I take from the bonfire before it leads to a dead end. Went back to the chapel and spoke to the lady and the child, still nothing.

Go back upstairs from where you fought Vilhelm. Follow that path upwards kinda until you find a cave..

Look for another path along the cliffside on the opposite side of the bridge from the Ariandel Chapel.

Go back to the bridge. But don't cross the bridge with the chapel on the other side. Then facing the bridge and look left, you will see a ladder.

Vilhelm? If thats a boss, I probably missed him. The Gravetender is the first boss I fought in the DLC.

Am I? He says he talked to the lady...and the girl. You can't talk to the girl until you have klled Vilhelm.

OP, Vilhelm is the knight outside of the chapel.

If you've spoken to the girl, then you killed Vilhelm, no? He protects the lever leading up to her. Which means you've gotten beyond the Corvian Settlement?

The girl painting a picture in the attic of the chapel? I was able to speak to her, and I don't remember fighting a boss before the gravetender. Unless you mean the man who had the Onyx blade, I didn't fight him.

Ahh, so his name was Vilhelm. Sorry for the confusion, wasn't aware of that Knight's name.

If you haven't been to the town of the insect people yet, you should go there... you should be able to see it off in the distance. Rest at the chapel bonfire, then cross the bridge without breaking it. Explore the cliffside on your right and you should find a path to the town.

Well, did you light the bonfire outside of that attic? Look out the balcony door of that attic, to the side you'll see some wooden scafolding. Continue on from there

I've already been through this area, where do I find the cave? I'd rather not run around aimlessly with a ♥♥♥♥ ton of enemies trying to kill me

Not to be rude, but do you have to be spoonfed? Explore the mountain pass. You'll fight past the Farron Followers, fight through some wolves, a few fat Milwood Knights, and by then you'll end up near the cave. There's a rotted old tree you can kick down to use as a shortcut incase you die

Well not to be rude, but did you not read what I just typed? I'd rather not run around aimlessly with enemies on my ass. I'm in NG+5, and these guys do a lot of damage plus I don't have their movesets or patterns memorized yet. So like I said, I'd rather not run around aimlessly looking for the cave. But fine, if that'll please you I'll do just that.
