People seem to have forgotten that the Fallen Knight set is a joke
I found it funny to see that so many people are using it lately, and I'm not talking about low levels, the meta is full of them. The set is the newbie favorite, but I wanted to remind you all that the set is from a craven knight who flee from battle, and before that he plssed himself.

Here is the description of the trousers:
dampened and indelibly stained with the misery of flight

which is a poetic way of saying that he plssed, and possibly ♥♥♥♥♥, himself.
So wear the set if you like, I'll be laughing my ♥♥♥ off.

Well, people can wear them if they want, you got no right to judge them.

From an optimization standpoint, it's top tier. Great defense for the weight. Maybe that's why?
Plus, it has a flowing coat. People dig long coats.

This. People don't read descriptions and in most cases it provides decent protection and poise without too much weight. When you're talking about fire resists, you really only have this set or firekeepers clothing early on.

Not that armor stats actually matter, but people like to think it does.
Fashion, end of story.

The set actually looks kinda nice. In addition it is an armor set for a specific group of knights so he isn't the only one to look like this. The difference is the pants have um... dried urine on them. Ignoring the flavor text they look just fine. The big reason they are actually a joke tends to be the number of bad/new players using them so the perceived perception someone wearing them sucks.

Armor stats do matter but the difference is negligible unless stacking heavier armor with other defensive boosters. Very helpful when doing my low level runs (tho admittedly majority of my coop is in loin cloth + thrall/pharis hat only).
