Dark Souls 3 PC: PS4 controller lock on issues

So I've started playing Dark Souls 3 on my PC with my PS4 controller and I can't switch my lock on target without locking on and off again. I know I can switch my target by using the touch pad but that is really difficult and time consuming so I was wondering if there is a way to use the right stick to swap targets

as i know windows ds3 does not support ps4 controller, i guess your probly using ds4windows, which is a program that simulates xbox controller, and xbox controllers dont have touch pad though. you have to use right stick to switch

I am using steam big picture mode not ds4windows and all the other controls are fine. thanks for suggestion but the left stick doesn't work as that is the movement input :P

Isn't there an option to free switch targets, check that, also use SCPtoolkit for a DS4, both Steam and DS4Windows sucks

I would take him up on the scptoolkit advice too, as someone who also uses ds4 I can confirm Scp works better than steam or ds4windows.
