Cant equip my sword or shield and I do equip through Equipment...not inventory.

Im THIS close from asking for a refund. Ive tried to switch hands....restarting the game...unequipping the sword and shield a billion times. This is futile..

Nah...getting a refund. Not worth it...the first hour of playing this game was annoying as a bell. 30 minutes of gameplay and 30 minutes of trying to figure out the buttons which is still pretty much a console thing. After beating the first blue ice dragon..I lost my shield...when I tried to get back my shield, my Sword all of a sudden was gone to..even if its still in the equipment list and fully durable. Im a knigt so im using all my first equipment.

Well can't talk for keyboard , but did you by accident switch to weapon slot 2 ?
Seems like reasonable explanation for your shield and sword ''dissapearing''

Edit: seems like left and right arrow keys switch weapon slots with keyboard.

You can't lose weapons. It's impossible.
Most likely, you switched your weapon slot. For each hand you get three 3 slots to put equipment, which allows you to switch weapons on the fly.
Like switching a sword for a dagger on the main hand and a shield for a crossbow on the off hand.

...Ive asked a lot of people about this. I thought I had tried the switching hand button. But I had to switch it within equipment. Cant believe this was the problem..!

Yeah, when you equip multiple things to the same hand, rather than being empty you'll cycle through those for that hand instead.

It will help you greatly to look at the controls in the options menu, and to change them according to what you're most comfortable with. That way you'll have less to figure out blindly.
