Yes.

Alternatives include the knights guarding the Twin Princes, the Silver Knights of Anor Londo which can also get you Proofs of Concords Kept if you need em still.

If you have the Ringed City DLC, I find that fighting Spears of the Church are pretty good for souls if you throw on all soul items. It makes the cost of respawning Judicator Argo irrelevant, even. But this is at level 300+ for me, I'm not sure how good farming Spears are at lower levels, and if you aren't very good at PvP it obviously won't be a super easy farm for you

Yes. But if your looking for a low risk, fairly high reward, and very fast. Then try the Drakeblood knight outside of Dragon-Kin Mausoleum BF
At ng+ with no soul enhancing items he gives 4K per kill. Imagine that with soul enhancing weps. If your about to die, the BF Is right there. Make sure to get a backstab and mostly you will have enough stam to just kill him like that. He also respawns every time so it's infinite farming and no running back and forth between bf and the enemy. It's my favorite farming spot

And if you want some really safe/easy farming, or are early game, there's the area right before the abyss watchers boss. Start from ruined fort bonfire, kill crow shaman first which leaves the rest of the congregation of crows passive for free backstab kills. Next continue up the path, watch the dark knights fight the swamp folk, soak up all the free souls, and kill whoevers left. Leave with the home bound miracle, or run to the closer bonfire attached to the battlefield.

2200ish souls in normal ng unboosted for 2-3 minutes of mostly backstabbing passive mobs, and watching people kill each other from a distance. Add in the ridiculously high drop rate of dark knight gear which sells for 500 a pop, plus the occasional drop from crows and swamp men. Not sure how many souls that would be in ng+.

The 'difficulty' of the Gertrude knights shouldn't even be a factor... you can just Rapport them.
~75k souls at NG in about 2 minutes for little to no work, plus occasional chunks. Nothing beats it.

2 minutes can be easily beaten in my opinion. So it must be able to kill them and get back in around 45 secs. That's the only thing that would beat drake blood

Consumed garden is good farming for a change of scenery. Rapport + covetous silver/gold, avarice, shield of want gets you about 25k souls and a chunk or 2 and some cathedral knight gear.

Drakeblood knights in Dragon-kin Mausoleum are easy and fast. With Silver Serpent Ring +3, Shield of Want and Symbol of Avarice they drop 9720 souls. As long as you don't kill the summoner, they'll keep spawning infinitely and you can get a free backstab on them right as they spawn.

i farm 1 mil souls in 20 -25 min , on the 3 knights on top of archives. u need 10 int and raport spell + rings +shield +head. I doubt there is smg faster then that. one run is 3 min tops and giefs 75 k souls

All I'm saying is that if you can 1 shot drake blood (2 shot makes it much slower as it gives him a chance to run) and have full soul items I'm sure you can get more than 75k in 3 min

I personally re-spec and use CSS to kill the 3 Serpent-men at the Archdragon Peak bonfire.

With all the farming gear (Mendicant's Staff, Shield of Want, Symbol of Avarice, your best Covetous Silver Serpent Ring) I remember getting 1 million souls in under 20 min on NG.

This has only gotten faster as I've gone up to NG+5. Now I can get 1 mill in about 8 min.

But you'll need to be able to kill the Serpent-men in one hit. I go up about 10 feet and slightly to the right (near the rock pile closest to the Serpent-man on the right) from the bonfire and shoot a CSS to kill the Serpent-man on the right and if lined up correctly will kill the Serpent-Man in the background. And then you get the other Serpent-Man on the left.

Probably takes like 8 seconds for each run. It gets boring quick but it's hard to argue with the results.
