Yhorm's Great Machete or Dragonslayer Greataxe?

Trying to decide on the next boss weapon. Going for 40+ STR/DEX build, no magic. Mostly for PvE.

I mean i'm going for both STR/DEX, i don't care if it's pure STR or pure DEX or mixed, i use all sorts.

I'm planning on getting Profaned, yes :) But also one of those. Cant decide between lightning/aoe damage for dragons and Yhorm's general huge reach and pure physical damage. Looks like Yhorm's weapon art is more PvP though.

dsga's wa will get you killed more than anything.

and there is very little lightning damage so it might as well not be there.

Yhorm's only does 3 points more damage than a heavy infused regular greataxe, and it's a lot heavier. If you want your greataxe to be a boss weapon, I'd go for the slayer axe.

that damage comment is extremely circumstantial and misleading.

also dont forget that the greataxe is one of the shortest weapons in the game and yhorm's is possibly the longest. "3 damage" is a fair trade for not missing your target because they weren't hugging you.
