SOMEHOW GOT SOFTBANNED - WHAT DO I DO

I posted on here the other day that I would hardly ever get summoned or could summon anyone and couldn't find out why. This happened a day or two before the patch. Well today I had a message pop up (well first time I noticed it) saying CAUTION YOU'VE BEEN PENALIZED. Invalid game data remains present on your account.

I have no idea how this happened. My guess is it's from conectivity issues which I've always had with the game but I don't recall this happening while being invaded or while fighting someone. Anyways, I have no idea how to take care of this or what to do.

Any help would be much appreciated.... Thanks

I had a suspicion that Wednesday is usually the time they un-softban people.
Seems like it's true for others cause I always get unbanned on Wednesdays lol.

Probably an invader that messed with your save file one way or another. Delete all your save data in the roaming/dark souls 3 folder and make a new character. Play with it until you reach high wall and quit the game for 2-4 weeks. If you didn't cheat you should be unbanned.
You can play in a family share account for that time.

UPDATE ----- I'm back on the regular server and all the summons are working as intended. I made my claim of not being a cheater or accepting anything from anyone and I didn't delete anything despite the recommendations. I just kept in contact with them and hoped for the best. I'm in the process of backing up everything at the moment but i'm finally able to play the game to it's fullest again. thanks everyone for your assistance and support :)

Thanks for coming back, this is important proof that false positives are real and that you even get banned and not just warned as a false positive. Now I know that if it will happen again to me I won't have to delete my save (or, actually, restore a much older backup).

P.s. when it happened to me I was just warned, not banned, so I didn't delete my save, but I've read that you get warned only once and they directly ban you the next times.

In the last email from them it was mentioned the next time something happens you get warned once then perma banned to confirm what you mentioned above. I don't necessarily agree with it because I never should have been soft banned to begin with and I'm going to kindly express this to them. Afterall it was a bug of some sort on their end and if it happened once it can happen again and I want it all documented as so.

Yeah. I'm planning on finally dusting off this game since launch. And the one thing I'm most afraid of is how **** sofrban systems tend to be.

Which bafflingly people still has people defend it, after the days of people literally streaming themselves hacking people into dragon form to inflict the softban system on people for hours at a time with no consequence. (even though this long after launch, common sense is much more frequent, there are always those people who can't get it up in bed without screaming "NO U CAN ONLY SOFTBAN IF U R CHET")

Anybody else remember GTAV with people hacking themselves in guns that shot money, to inflict softbans on people by filling them full of money faster than that game's softban system liked?

btw people getting banned for being turned into a dragon and teleported to firelink shrine was a myth, nobody actually got banned. I always keep the forums open and at that time there wasn't one single thread of someone saying they got banned by cheaters.
