GG From, you've done it again.

Gone from the top performer, and now they've reduced it's AR by over 100. It is now outperformed by (with my stats and infusions) ::

- Shortsword
- Longsword
- Broadsword
- Astora SS
- Lothric SS
- Barbed SS
- Dark Sword
- Anri's SS
- 10 more AR than Gotthard's which have an L1.

Congratulations on ♥♥♥♥ing up another weapon, and nerfing it to the point of uselessness.

A non-infusable weapon, with a disappointing WA compared to other Straight Swords, and they nerfed it into the ground.

Tbh Sunlight Straight Sword needed a nerf pretty hard.
With my faith strength build at 120 it's AR would easily climb over 700 with lightning blade + the built in sunlight buff. Sure the damage propogated twice due to lightning but it was far too strong for a spammable r1.
Its a great free buff, I always used it as such and felt filthy using it as a weapon.

It deserved a nerf in PvP, and that's it. However, they've nerfed it to the point that I doubt anyone is going to ever have cause to use it again except when using the WA off-hand to buff a better weapon.

The Sunlight SS WA is still more powerful, but barely. Even so, relying on a WA that lasts 45 seconds isn't the best strategy.

Not only that, a WA buffed SSS still has 2 AR less than my Hollow Broadsword, completely unbuffed.

I just wanted to say that I agree with you with that sword and that the weapon art doesnt help the sword in any way because its way to short and doesnt improve it at all

So I investigated it and this is my result
I attacked with my +5 sunlight sword the fire keeper
Without any buff it does 483 Damage
With the weapon art it does 531 Damage

Which means that the sword buff just helps for a very patethic amount of 50 Damage and makes the weapon even more trash
