Is there actually a invasion cooldown or no?

My friend just get's invaded 24/7 non stop after one die another spawns.

So lucky for him... I get almost no invasions :(

And for what you ask I don't think so , if he dye this cool down would reset anyway

Where is he? Some areas allow for more than 1 invader at a time even without dried fingers.

Also, having phantoms with you prioritizes invasions on your world.

There is an invasion cooldown counter, but its only an invader who has already invaded you (the same person cannot immediately invade again most of the time).

Yesterday I played Ashes of Ariandel town part with my friend and he got invaded by the same noob 4 times

(calling him that because:
1st time he died from my Dragonslayer axe weapon art. He didn't even tried to dodge that. He just walk into it while spamming RB
2th time he roll from small bridge near bonfire with his 50 hp left and died from fall.
3th time he did plunge on me dealing me around 30% of hp and died 10 seconds later from two hits of my weapon
4th time he was afk during whole invasion. We even gave him 2 extra minutes when we found him standing still.
Each time invasion last less than 5 minutes and his tactic was always the same -
going forward and spamming with RB bleeding dagger while wearing kirks set)

in row in less than 60 minutes (yes, I double checked. It was less than 60 min betwen first and 4th invasion).

I heard there is some kind of counter , thats why I was confused about that pretty fast invasions.

What color are the invaders? If they are blue and red, get out of the area or join the covenant that is invading. If they are red, something is wrong because reds are generally on a soft cool down. If it's the same person over and over, the likely reason for repeat invasions is you are the only invadable person by that specific invader at the current time.

There's a timer, and it's very long if you're playing solo. I don't know for sure what it's like if you're playing with phantoms. If you activate the dried finger, you can get invaded nonstop.
