chaos bed vestiges OP
man they should really do something about those chaos bed vestiges in the arena!! the only thing you see right now is people spamming it way too hard all the time! i can't get into a 3v3 without there being 3 pyromancers there and it becomes a rollfest! there really is no way to counter it exept become a pyromancer yourself (and i refuse to do so) anyone any tips on how to counter it in 3v3?

Hah, should have seem that spell in DS2. It was called Forbidden Sun. Ez fights with that spell. You could just man up in the face of the opponent, cast two Forbidden suns and GG, ez game. Fun times.

Fought some people using this. It has a fast casting time, but still somewhat easy to dodge if you are careful.

I'd recommend cover to draw them in, using a high fire shield, or baiting them into wasting all their FP.

Do not ever roll into a pyromancer after the cast though, as they can usually get a black flame or R1 R1, or R1 into Blackflame if using the demon scar. Used to do this to people all the time before I changed my pyromancer into a strength/faith build.

You could also use vow of silence if you have the faith and laugh as they run the hell away for 10 seconds.

It consumes A LOT of stamina, even more if the pyromancer is using the parting pyromancy flame. If the average pyromancer casts it for a second time without waiting 1 or 2 seconds, he won't be able to roll away from most attacks. If you want to "counter" it in a 3v3, always have a member of your team pressuring the pyro, so he isn't able to throw that huge fireball where the rest of the players are fighting.

If you have Faith, use Vow of Silence. If that's not an option, pull-out Flash Sweat or use a high fire-resistance shield. Block when able, or roll to the side. Let them waste their FP. Get closer to them while dodging the CBV. Remember to never roll forward as this is what they want (BSF combo). Even at 40 Endurance CBV consumes a lot of Stamina. Rush him if he casts two to three in quick succession. He won't be able to roll away. Works every time.

I think Vow of Silence is my favorite tactic however. As most never see it coming. Always funny to watch casters run like cowards.

yeah, i played DS2 too, but i believe you could only cast it 2 times (correct me if i am wrong) now if they get the kill, they can use it almost infinitely! not fun at all, especially not if 2 ppl use this crap all the time

using a shield against 2 pyro's in the arena isn't gonna end well, cause you can only focus on 1 at a time! and i am always carefull against that black flame though! and wasting all their FP is really not fun, cause if they get a kill, they get another ashen estus, so i begins agai!! the struggle is real...

two was more than enough. sometimes people died with only one, but yeah, you could only use two usually.

in my experience against pyromancers, in the arena that is, try to bait their spells and don't stay too far from them. as mentioned here already, the spell consumes a lot of FP and stamina, so when they use it, it's your time to counter attack. try using something fast against them.

Maybe you should completely read a post before jumping to conclusions with your reply.

Anything works once you get close enough. I prefer UG weapons in those situations as you have the reach and can stunlock them while they try to regen Stamina to spam roll. But it's like you said, fast weapons work great in that situation as well.
