Hidden body doesn't work against the angels pre-nerf.
I think instead they should have nerfed the detection against NPCs/enemies instead of the whole spell overall, now it's much harder to sneak up on hosts or something because the spell is so loud to cast and doesn't last long either
Anyway- Combat magic has the same problem. You need to invest heavily into the int stat, which leaves you with nothing else left. Even the most potent spells don't hit for as much as a fully charged 2-handed attack, which comes out faster and is easier to hit.
If you want to make combat magic viable in PvP you have to throw on around 4 rings. If your opponent does 2 rolls in your direction you are already dead.
To add to the obvious downsides, like easy to dodge spells, cast-timing and whatnot you also get downtime just for being dependent on Estus.
I get that magic is not supposed to be OP but i hate that you have to absolutely commit to it, to make it viable.
15 sec is more than enough, and you know, you can recast it. Also there is that ring that increases the duration. But recasting is more than enough. If you have only 10 attunement you can cast it like 6 times, which is more than enough to get to next bonfire or to the boss in any given area.
I maybe wrong but they also saw me with Hidden Body on?
