Is Slave Knight Gael overhyped? (spoilers for dlc)

I didn't think he was that hard of a boss, The first time I fought him, I got to the 3rd stage maybe halfway to killing him from that last part, but he got me. However the second time I beat him with about 10 estus remaining, from what I had heard he was this super tough final boss, but even solo, he wasn't that difficult, and additionally it had been a while and I mean months between when I had last played and then picking the game back up this week to do both dlcs. Personally I found midir a lot more difficult than Gael, but wasn't he supposed to be the big finale of the game?

Again, as we all keep saying, lol different bosses are harder for different people/builds. I found the dlc bosses to be difficult in this order:

Demon Prince > Gael > Midir

With Demon Prince giving me the most trouble.

Oh sorry lol, I hadn't seen many posts on difficulties of bosses, only a few asking for help even so sorry if this is repetitive for you. I was just going off my experience and what my friend had told me about the bosses.

I personally think Gael is a great fight, it's not full of BS, it's just a good fight.

I wasn't intending to be disrespectful lol. I made a similar thread after I killed Midir cause I really proud of myself. Someone was like, well since you were a cleric, you kinda had an advantage. And I'm like oh, I didn't know. I see everyone complain him so. xd

I enjoyed the Gael fight. It felt like a sincere 1v1. Two crazy hollows out to kill each other for the Dark Soul. It's brutal and intense but not insanely difficult or impossible. It still manages to be fun. Midir, however, is not a fun fight. Especially since you have to fight the camera most of the time.
