Does it matter where I am as a blade of the darkmoon?

Should I sit somewhere like water bonfire or pontiff or should i be farming the silver knights at anor londo? Will I get any more summons if i sit at water bonfire or pontiff?

Yes and no. You will primarily be summoned to the area you're in, but after a unknown amount of time you will be able to be summoned to any map you've personally been in.

Doesn't matter as long as your banner is flashing up there you will be summoned at random.

so long as you are in an online enabled area, you will be summoned to any area you have reached on the current character.

True. Usually the area you are in gets prioritized, but you can get summoned anywhere.

For example you stand around the ringed city bonfire and you get summoned into dukes archives.

Usually you wanna go stand around where the most player activity is. Just to be sure.

Some time ago people had an issue with darkmoon, like they couldn't get summoned. They fixed the issue somewhat, and these guys get less action than those without problems. You are most likely just unlucky, or not at the optimal level.

SL100-120 is your safest bet right now because of DLC. Oh and yeah, you need to have DLC to get summoned there as a bluebro. If you don't have DLC then you won't really get summoned, as 90% of invasions happen there, as far as I know.

I"ve been running with a friend who is new and everytime he gets invaded he gets a blue or darkmoon almost instantly.. like clockwork.

I do get summoned, but.... it is not remotly what it should be. There are people getting summoned constantly. One after another.
I did the old fix which was sadly patched for no freaking reason. That time I got my rewards within 3 hours. Almost all 30 (I had like 3 or something). And seeing that the playercount is almost the same as I did it back then, there is no reason why I get summoned 5 times slower. I got summoned 8~9 times within 2 hours. Which isn't bad. Still better than farming knights for me and less tedious, but still bad.

Yeah I wanted to say it's not properly fixed, maybe my wording was poor, sorry.

But yeah, OP, either that's the problem for you, and you need luck, or you don't have DLC The Ringed City, where most invasions take place.

I've bought the dlc but havent run it yet. I just got to anor londo with my character so I guess I'll level up to sl 100 and do the ringed city dlc. Then put on my covenant sign there.

To be honest. For some strange reason... Most of my summons were in the painted world and not in the ringed city. There were 3 in the ringed city, 4 in the painted world and 1 in dukes which was probably on more than ng+ going by the dmg the enemies dealt.

You don't have a covenant sign, and as we said, it doesn't matter where you are. Just progress trough the game, and you'll eventually get summoned. When it happens more frequently you stop levelling up. That simple.

You are SL100 or SL120 I presume? I got summoned outside of the DLC too, but nowhere twice. That's not weird, some people prefer the Painted World, which I would agree with BTW.

I was just running around in the ringed city, killing mobs, looting stuff i could have missed (like havels ring +3. Found it waaay later). So i got summoned outside 5 out of 8 times. Still it took a long time and really some of these summons were kinda stupid. Got summoned into a fight between red and phantom (a duel) and sat around with the host throwing "very good" and clapping the whole time because..... it took them like 5 min to finish each other off.
