Need a list of current best PvE weapons.

Would appriciate it. I heard the Black Knight Sword and Onyx Blade are one of the best at the moment? Currently using the Refined Carthus Sword +10 that does 379 damage. Looking for a good (Great?)sword to use.

While I agree with the weapons above and especially the Longsword as the best PvE weapon for melee, I compiled some stuff on Greatswords recently and stumbled upon a surprisingly large number of people that consider the Hollowslayer Greatsword to be the best weapon in the game - and it definitely looks like that when you fight anything Hollow as it deals substantial bonus damage to Hollows.

That little beauty often slips through the cracks and gets less attention than it deserves.

Black Knight Sword is a greatsword, while the Black Knight Greatsword is an Ultra Greatsword. Both of these do a bit more damage against demons, but they're pretty heavy and need more STR and DEX to wield.

The Long Sword, when at +10 and Refined, does a ton of damage, but you'll be called a tryhard for it, PvE or PvP.

ya the hollow slayer great sword does the bonus hollow damage against most of the humanoid in the game since they're all undead and even works on several of the bosses and doesnt cost that much stamina for being a greatsword

I honestly don't care since I don't PvP at all, nor planning to. Currently using the Refined Carthus Sword +10 that does 379 damage. Looking for a good Greatsword to use.

My personal. Favorite woukd be the dragon slayer axe, aka Creighton 's axe.

Nearly as fast as straight sword, hits way harder and can be buffed with lightning on top of its normal lightning damage. You can easily get 700+ Ar out of it with lightning blade with about 75% of it being lightning damage.

Flame Gargoyle Spear seems pretty nice. Great for dispatching NPCs who have poise (working as intended tm) like the knights and that knight slayer guy, since you can outrange them and stab. Tends to get high counter damage, penetrates defence on tough enemies, sets a lot of enemies on fire who are weak to it and is quite fast

Sorry, didn't see that until now. The Exile Greatsword is a personal favorite of mine; and I would want to go with something that is buffable, so I guess that would be my first choice.
