Weapon Upgrade Level Invasion Range

So we all know that Weapon Upgrades are important for invasions.
So, for low level, a +2 weapon is the highest upgrade you can do to still play against +0 players.

On Weapons upgradable to +5 this is double, so a +2 acts like a +4 or a +4 like a +8.
So, does that mean i can still upgrade a weapon with Twinkling Titanite to +1, so it doubles to +2 for a ''normal'' Weapon, and i can still do PvP with +0 Players?

Im pretty sure that works, but i dont want to make any mistakes.

Yep, you got it right.
Any weapon that upgrades to +5 counts as double a regular upgrade, so a +1 Twinkling/Scale weapon is on the same level as a +2 regular Titanite Shard upgrade.

Can I just trow away or keep in storage chest my upgraded weapons to invade players about my SL?
Does the estus flask work the same way?

Wow, you found this old thread.

I think it doesnt work this way. As soon as you upgrade to a +3 weapon, its over to find players with +0 again. Atleast these were my experiences. You would have to make a new character.

I think it doesnt work this way. As soon as you upgrade to a +3 weapon, its over to find players with +0 again. Atleast these were my experiences. You would have to make a new character.

Yup. And estus doesn't matter at all for matchmaking.

Rules changed a while ago now at low level it is +-1 level, so you can only match with +0 if you are +0/+1

no, the game 'remembers' your highest upgraded weapon and filters you accordingly.

I would just suggest using cheatengine to get weapons and unlocking bonfires.

Otherwise Twinking is just wasting time.
