Question about copying a character from another pc

I bought DS3 and i have a question. I created a character at my friend's PC who has both DLC's (i don't have them yet) and reached the ashes of ariandel DLC, my character has some equipment from that DLC, can i transfer (copy) my character from my firend's PC to mine? will i have any issues with the game at my PC or do i need to create a new character and start over?

All characters are in one save, and you can't transfer saves between different steam accounts (DS3 saves are now account bound).

BUT you can drop equipment and pick it up with the other account. And abusing save backup you won't even lose any items.

You can try backing up his save file but it on a USB or email it to your comp then replace your saves with his including your char never tryed it but sounds like it could work

If they use the same steam acocunt, yes. But overwriting his saves would mean he would lose all the characters he made on his own PC.

Is not possible. Thankfully. There are enough cheaters out there, we don't need the likes of you who could just download characters with full equipment at soul level 10.

You could do that without downloads or anything still cheating but a friend could just give al lthe items to you with an intended mechanic

OP should tell you if he wants to lose his old characters or not. He wants to transfer characters, not swap them, making him unable to play past characters which he had time and work put into. As far as I know.

I guess you already got your answer, but it is basically no. Saves are tied to steam accounts so you cannot transfer them between accounts. You can however make a new character on your account and then let your friend drop a ton of items on your old character so your new can use them. You can't trade upgrade items (titanite etc.), key/special consumables/boss souls and spells. You also can't pick up items that are upgraded beyond your highest upgrade lvl on that char. But it should still go a long way to help you out.

i think you are able to REPLACE your characters with other save files. but its every slot for every slot
