You can also try restoring a backup if you have one, but if you have no idea what got you banned, you can't be sure that backup will be valid.
Did you cheat? You get banned even if you cheated offline, as long as something not legit gets saved in your save.
Can I just delete all my characters when I click load game or do I have to delete actual files in appdata or something?
And if what you say about having to wait 1 month is true, I suppose thats alot better than being permanently banned
Use DS4Windows
spawn items that are the following - upgrade materials, boss souls, covenant items
change your attributes - VIG, END, STR, DEX and etc without leveling up to the equivalent level (e.g deprived level 1 levels 1 vigor with cheat engine and puts him to level 2 = no ban)
Give to me straight doc, am I ♥♥♥♥♥♥?
did you get invaded by a hacker and picked up an item or a dlc item before the dlc was out?
Anecdote:
Was playing co-op with a friend in the past and I occasionally used a 'no-clip' (CE) to find each other in areas, a script that changed the look of my weapon to the aesthetic I liked and also (later on) I toyed around with my levels, by removing a level point from one attribute and giving it to another (for fuller customisation of my character). On the other hand, my co-op cohort never used cheats and only availed the "save scum" technique to avoid -- what would be for him -- game-breaking frustration, stemming from the series' infamous back-tracking requirements after death.
Result:
- He was warned and then subsequently banned (after not playing for weeks)
- I was warned before I was using the above 'hacks', then the warning was removed (after an update) and I was never warned (or banned) thereafter, despite always using said "cheats".
(NB: I always used the 'level rejig' trick offline, never while online. The others I used while online, as implied.)
tl;dr:
The anti-cheat tech FromFlaccid are using, is wack and broken; and not unlike Denuvo, mostly punishes fair, paying players, and not actual cheaters and / or griefers. (v_v)🔫
