All of character progress reset and name is blank.

After going through the ringed city DLC with one character, when I load my other character, he starts at the beginning of the game with a black name, the default male looks and all progress and items gained removed. It was my main character. I had beaten the main game and the first DLC and spent hours farming silver knights and other things to max out the covenents. All gone. :( Oh well, maybe I'll keep my nameless character.

This isn't even the first time it has happened to me. I had finished ng++ and gotten all the trophies with my first character. All to be reset with no name after making a new character.

do you regularly backup your saves files? because I did, since DS3 have no steam cloud.
