tthis is why you don't grind with out using a rusty coin. and even then your odds are quiet ♥♥♥♥

my only advice would be to buff your luck stat, wear the mimic head, equip the gold sneak ring, use loads of rusty coins, and say your prayers to RNJesus

Exactly this, never had any problems farming items when all luck items are worn.

Even without the luck stat, you are good to go with the Mimic Head, Crystal Sage's Rapier and the Covetous Gold Serpent Ring+3 along with the rusty coins.

The key to beat the RNGesus is... you don't think about the item you want. If you keep desiring such item, most of the time RNGesus will not give you that item you longed.

It's not that rare lol...I used like 5 Gold Coins and got the whole set + sword. I do not have the spear though but that's because I never farmed the Ringed Knight with the spear.

The sword and the spear is not dropped; they're just a loot found on corpses.

Ah really? Huh thought I got the sword off a knight. The spear is looted too? Good to know I'll make sure to find that when I run through the dlc again.

Use Symbol of Avarice, Covetous Gold Serpent Ring +3 and a gold or rusted Coin and you'll have the set in no time. You can push item discovery further with the crystal rapier as well, but I prefered to just use an Ultra Great Weapon (Astora Greatsword in my case) which makes farming them alot easier and faster. I think I got the set in literally one run around the chapel in the swamp where there are 4 of them.
