And i still don't see how this is "lewd", there are other Fantasy games where this would counts as "heavy" amrour.
Well it's about as lewd as it gets in Dark Souls, so it's what people who want sexy female characters will go with.. Also a lot of guys wearing the set wear it since it's funny. It's like when you have people who purposfuly make their character look ugly. It's all for fun. Also if you didn't want to be missintepreted, odd may have been a better word than worrying.
Sex sells. I'm surprised you didn't get it before posting on steam
I have an explanation here for your "worries" about why aso many male characters wear it.
It's to be stupid and goofy. Remember that Simpsons episode where the school was divided by gender, and Skinner was wearing a skirt to the assembly as he tried to "explain" his views on gender differences? It's that kind of humor.
Nobody's trying to put out any messages or whatever, they're just trying to have fun with a goofy character they made.
Why this set in particular? Because it's the newest one, honestly. It being in the third game is a bit of a cool throwback for people that liked 2 (there were plenty of male characters wearing it, as well as the Black Witch set, in 2 if you will recall).
But yeah. All in summary...people are just being people. The Desert set looks sexy on females, and it looks funny on dudes.
I do not watch the Simpsons, but it's brand-new-ity might be actually a explanation. But why not the Black Witch set? I mean, hard to miss it, and it's pretty much the same with effect (minimal) better stats.
People are just being people? No, this is just Dark Souls. Players are as mad as the NPCs. I have no clue what people (including myself) are really trying to do here anyway.
Infact, i just wish i could delete this thread, but no, steam says over 8 replies i can only edit it... *sigh*
I miss the bandit, executioner and lion set from ds2.
But hey Desert Pyromancer Garb+Black Witch Trousers and we can roleplay 50 shades of grey in The Dreg Heap.
