Desert Sorceress set the new Fallen Knight set?
IMPORTANT:
So, this thread is the digital incarnation of the verb "(to) derail sth.", and i suggest you to read it like that. Please do not answer to the main topic, it's wasted time of yours. If any mod coudl delete this..?

Like, am i the only one? Literally half of the people i invade of get summoned to wear that joke of an armor. The amount of male character wearing it is nexplainable high too.
So what's up with everyone wearing it? It's not like it's stats are superb, you can get under 30% with much better stats. Do they just want to distract their PvP opponents by wearing it, or si there something i'm missing about it?

And i know the meme, but it's a simple rule: You mock someone, he mocks back.
When did I mock you in any of my responses? lol

Worrying, because i can understand why women are wearing it (kinda). Yet there is no obvious reason for male characters wearing it (except the hoodie, which is cool). I don't meant "worrying" in terms of "I'm a chauvinistic ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ dictating everyone to a "normal" sexual orientation" but in terms of "I don't get it".

*sigh* gonna change the this asap, i see why people hate me for this.
Dude. It's a video game. What are video games if you aren't having fun? I salute people cosplaying as a male desert pyromancer, they are a funny departure from the usual edgelords.
I'm not raging about it. If you wanna play with that armour, do it. I can't change it anyway. I just don't get this flood of Desert Sorceresses, and was not really thinking about my words. (Were i ever thinking about them?)
And i still don't see how this is "lewd", there are other Fantasy games where this would counts as "heavy" amrour.

Well it's about as lewd as it gets in Dark Souls, so it's what people who want sexy female characters will go with.. Also a lot of guys wearing the set wear it since it's funny. It's like when you have people who purposfuly make their character look ugly. It's all for fun. Also if you didn't want to be missintepreted, odd may have been a better word than worrying.
Did you really wonder why people are using it? Really?

Well... as there are other armour sets out there which offere the same "goodies" (like the Swordmaster's "clothing", Painting Guardians "Leggins" and so on), yes i'm actually curiosu about it.

Sex sells. I'm surprised you didn't get it before posting on steam

I get it. Yet, this won't explain why a) many male chars are wearing it (okay, some people might be special in this, but defently not that many), and b) there are, as already mentioned, other armour sets with similar "qualities".

I have an explanation here for your "worries" about why aso many male characters wear it.

It's to be stupid and goofy. Remember that Simpsons episode where the school was divided by gender, and Skinner was wearing a skirt to the assembly as he tried to "explain" his views on gender differences? It's that kind of humor.

Nobody's trying to put out any messages or whatever, they're just trying to have fun with a goofy character they made.

Why this set in particular? Because it's the newest one, honestly. It being in the third game is a bit of a cool throwback for people that liked 2 (there were plenty of male characters wearing it, as well as the Black Witch set, in 2 if you will recall).

But yeah. All in summary...people are just being people. The Desert set looks sexy on females, and it looks funny on dudes.

Theoratically speaking there is nothing wrong with the set as it was made in Jugo, a pretty hot place. Would you prefer sweating like hell there?
Zesc Mar 31, 2017 @ 12:47pm
Wait. Someone tried to calmly explain my tired mind what is going on. Without blaming me for anything or being entirely off-topic. There's only one explanation for this: you're a social bot trying to act human to get pro-russian propaganda under us. Kill it! (Sorry, this joke had to drop one day.)

I do not watch the Simpsons, but it's brand-new-ity might be actually a explanation. But why not the Black Witch set? I mean, hard to miss it, and it's pretty much the same with effect (minimal) better stats.

People are just being people? No, this is just Dark Souls. Players are as mad as the NPCs. I have no clue what people (including myself) are really trying to do here anyway.

Infact, i just wish i could delete this thread, but no, steam says over 8 replies i can only edit it... *sigh*

Oh, and i just have to answer on this one: Did you ever asked yourself why desert nomads usually wear long clothing? Covering their entire body? Because UV light would roast you else. Desert Sorceresses really wearing this in the desert would die withing days by skin cancer.
Sati44 Mar 31, 2017 @ 12:51pm
I wish we had more "sexy chainmail bikini" armors. The desert set never looked good for me. You don't look like fantasy character you look like a cosplayer dressed as an fantasy character.
I miss the bandit, executioner and lion set from ds2.

But hey Desert Pyromancer Garb+Black Witch Trousers and we can roleplay 50 shades of grey in The Dreg Heap.
